whatever it was, its indestructible, i still got He-Man figures that look new and they are 30 years old...

its the mold in combination with type of plastic they used at that time. since more figures were being mass produced and the toy industry was becoming more commerical oriented (entire tv shows based on fukking toys like he man) what they were doing was using the same type of plastic combination mold for every mattell figure. they dont use it anymore because figures are smaller and more detailed and also made cleaner.

i know this is gonna sound odd, but i used to chew the heads and legs on mine ,i remember not only the smell but the fukking taste.

my B.A. (MR T) figure got its head and legs chewed the fukk off. Glad we got another one and kept that in its packaging.

The ET and Gremlin figures were proper rubber/latex with that distinctive smell..shyt was like crack, lol.

The fingers on all of my MOTU figures got messed up, but every other part of it was like a mini brick.

Reminiscing now, and they gypped us but having Cringer/Battlecat molded into that pose.
