The only time I would get involved in a domestic dispute is if it's my sister. And even then, Imma choose the time to get involved wisely.

That's why growing up in the 80s in the hood was very educational.

We were a bunch of fatherless youth but we generally meant well. We didn't call it a gang. It was just a few dozen cats that frequented this one unsupervised house and if you beat one of us up the rest would show up..

Every time we tried to "help" one of these young ladies, they would always side with the abusive mate and try to help him fight us. Like damn.

Eventually we made our own rule against getting involved and we'd have to school new recruits.
