I'm copping when Smash Bros release date is announced and my money situation is better. But 
at being able to use the tablet controller to watch Hulu and Netflix while everyone else is playing something else or watching TV. Made my decision to cop much easier.

dudes that are in here saying the system is azz are exaggerating or flat out havnt played it at all or not much at all. System is decent.. i mean.. if you like xbox and ps3...how can you say the wii u is trash but those are dope? If anything you're getting atleast the same quality games with a more dope interface using the screen on the controller (for some games)... and court is right about some of those games that cater to that old school style of game play we grew up on is more enticing to the younger crowd... but that doesn't mean adults can't enjoy it too.
As of right now the system is nice for what it does but i DO think it will look kinda flabby when those next gen systems drop... i can't see myself overlooking those next gen graphics and bothering with the wii u when they really start dropping those games that look truly next gen... but I'm sure there will be games im still interested in on the wii u if they utilize exclusive features with that controller... it has potential to really bring different game play to certain games but we'll see if developers really get creative...
