Took a higher paying job working outside the home and I regret it. I left on good terms and honestly might reach back out lol. Otherwise I'm looking for something else. This job is cool, but I really miss being home when my kids got home from school and being able to talk with them and my kids while I worked. That was a real blessing
How much more are you making?
Did you ever approach old job about hybrid?
Do you get the sense that the new job is one of those "100% in the office" type places? If the money is much much better I would stay at the new place, exceed every expectation for the rest of your kids school year and a couple weeks before summer vacation is over, casually approach a trusted supervisor about whether a hybrid situation is feasible.
I dont know you breh but it always warms my heart when I see brehs talk about how much they enjoy being with their kids and being willing to make professional sacrifices to make sure that time isn't lost. I have kids myself so I truly understand/sympathize. But right now, CASH is KING. The life you will be able to provide for your kids will depend on it. And the future is very unsteady. You have to do whatever you can to make sure you always have options. In fall of 2019 no one would've predicted a worldwide pandemic that was going to fundamentally turn the world economy upside down. The people who had CASH are 10 steps ahead of where they would've been had nothing happened. The people who didn't have cash were only able to stay afloat bc of government intervention, which is now being blamed for the reason why those same people can't afford eggs. This SVB bank went from flying high to wiped out in a matter of HOURS. This is the time to make that sacrifice and just STACK CASH.
