Behind You
We aint talking about some 14 year old super powered kid. MOS Sup is a grown ass 30 yr old who's been saving folks since he was in middle school. Stop copping pleas for this film's failings.
Lifting buses and running into burning buildings doesn't prepare you for a gang of trained fighters with all of your powers who are focused on killing you and everyone else on the planet.
A 30 year old who has never been in a fight can't be expected to be perfect the first time he has to throw hands.

Mile in the Sky
Superman: :dwillhuh: Wha...what do you mean I'm not a hero? I saved a lady falling out of her building this morning!
Batman: And when you sped down the side of the building with super sonic speed, you caused glass and debris to fall on at least 30 people below. :rudy:
Superman: :beli:
Batman: And that car you landed on to break the fall? There were 3 people in that car. They're currently in intensive care, but they're expected to make it. :comeon:
Superman: :merchant:
Batman: You also dislocated that women's ribs that you saved when you caught her at super sonic speed.
Superman: :snoop:

Superman: Wait a minute....didn't i just save the WORLD?

Batman: So....I saved Gotham like a bunch of times...

Superman::childplease:.....fukk a Gotham. Wanna throw down?

Batman::whoa:........:whew:

Speaking of Gravity, anyone got that? :patrice:

if you haven't seen gravity yet, you should check it out in theaters in 3d :manny:

Superman could rebuild it in a year :manny: He fast, strong, and is motivated to do better from his mistakes.

a year? :usure:

superman's not spending the first year of his superhero life working construction. he's already got a 9-5 at the newspaper.

show some montage with a superman tornado going around metropolis and skyscrapers popping up.. superman with his honorary engineering degree from gotham university playing legos with metropolis.. looking all fukked up.. :patrice:

Where would they even get all the materials needed to rebuild all those skyscrapers in one year? :russ:

Come on brehs, that destruction was way too much. This was the first movie in a series of films.. This nikka already got metropolis looking like a fallout game and shyt.

I swear ppl pick and choose what to remember when it comes to movies. Clark spent his entire life being cautious of using his powers, and how dangerous he is to other people. Its a plot point mentioned several times. His father died because of it, he was to fight zod because he had more control of his powers than zod.

Even if this shyt was never true, who in there right mind who start and end fights in heavily populated areas if they truly gave a fukk about the ants running around? Especially if you know they're after you. Its common sense.

stop making excuses for this shytty ass film
he's SUPERMAN, he don't need to know how to fight he got SUPER POWERS

Let's not talk how Zod's crew were punching the soldiers and beating them up, when their heads should've been exploding and bodies flying into space after being fired on like that

let's not talk about how 33 year old blue collar working all of a sudden gets a job at the daily planet with no experience in journalism because he's been wondering
the world his whole life growing a beard for no reason
also wasn't the Daily Planet destoryed by that machine anyway

this shyt is garbage,

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Movie was dope as fukk, the fight scenes put a lot of other movies on notice, that is the first time you ever got to see Supes lay hands on anyone in a flick and get a decent idea of his true power. Dudes went into space during the fight and were clubbing each other on re-entry :wow:

The only thing I would have liked to hear was Zod say "Kneel before Zod":wow:

Movie was bomb nikkas just like nit picking nobody wants to just turn their brains off anymore. In that last hour there was probably mad ppl killed technically in that last fight...but when have ppl really worried about collateral damage In movies? How many peeps you think got killed in theblast fight in Avengers?:comeon:

Only thing that struck me as stupid was Lois knowing his persona already but then again its always been stupid to me throwing a pair of glasses on a big ass cat can make ppl believes hes not Superman:laff:

The damage in the last fight scene in Avengers wasn't anything near the damage in Man of Steel. How can you "turn your brain" when this is the first of a series of movies, breh. Where does Metropolis go after this? :russ:

Where does Metropolis go? The city looked pretty damn fixed by the end of the movie I watched so I don't know exactly what your confusion is. The Daily Planet was back and things looked pretty much normal to me when Clark was heading to his first day of work.
Did you even see the movie?
And the damage in Avengers should have been on the same scale as Man of Steel if not worse. They had giant alien flying snakes and thousands of ray gun toting alien soldiers descending on New York City...the whole place should have been leveled.

:what:?? Did you watch the movie? Did you not see the destruction? Buildings were toppled and parts of the city were vaporized. The fukk does one building mean? Are you implying that one building being up and running means the entire city is back to normal after a good % of the city was destroyed?:what:

It doesn't matter what you think the destruction in the Avengers movie should've been. Fact is, the damage to NYC in that movie was nothing compared to what Metropolis suffered in Man of Steel.

WE don't know how much time had passed between the end of the battle with Zod and the time Clark went to work at the Daily Planet but what was obvious was that Metropolis seemed to be back to some semblance of normalcy. Why you fail to grasp that simple fact when it was plain as day on the movie screen makes me wonder if you actually saw the movie you are so dedicated to criticizing.
You are talking like there was only the rebuilt Daily Planet standing amid a city in ruins and we didn't see Clark Kent riding his bike down a crowded street on a beautifully sunny day as people were going about their business unimpeded.
I guess you needed to see an extra hour of city council meetings, zoning regulation squabbles, contractors bidding for the rebuilding contract and then an extended montage of the city being built one skyscraper at a time in order for you to be able to accept that the city got rebuilt.
