Just got back.

I did think some of the writing was off, but fukk it, the last 40 minutes is what comic book movies is all about.....or should be about.

That action:krs:

When Zod got hit with that twist that sealed his fate, some guy sitting behind me mumbled in a disgruntled tone

"Why didn't you just do that shyt 20 minutes ago?":heh:

shyt got some applause at the end, but it wasn't the whole theater.....I'd say about 60-70% of the crowd clapped at the end.

That last 40 minutes was 10/10

Overall, I give it 8/10

Now that they got the origin out of the way, they can do some serious damage with this series.Tighten up the writing and stay in line with the action....Marvel we got a problem:krs:

Zod, eh? So when is that nygga Brianiac gonna get the PUSH of a lifetime? He had Darkseid and Superman shook in the JLU series...they need to find a way to have him be a know it all that has a counter for everything...probably best saved for the Justice League movie JUST IN CASE they don't go with Darkseid.

If they do Brainiac they need a better writer and make that shyt like the comics not some Nolan bs. Imagine him and Lex in the same movie :noah:

Yeah this was a GREAT film brehs. There are minor character changes to Superman but I feel they all progress the character for modern times.

I've never seen action filmed like this. The battle in Smallville with Zods goons and that fine chick of his was :wow: .... Speechless. Everyone in the theater was blown away. Snyder did his thing.

Acting was very good also... Costner killed it, Crowe was good.. Amy Adams was great. I liked that she was an intelligent woman who could handle herself. Lois was well written in this. Amy Adams.. something about her too :noah:

I don't have any real gripes. Zod was a boss. For those saying the plot was weak.. I didn't think it was bad at all. It was simple, they wanted to turn the planet into their own and Superman had to make a choice but whatever. I LOVED Avengers but lets not act like that shyt was Citizen Kane. They had a random alien attack... and most of the foes were not on their level at all. The dialogue in Avengers is very well written and the actors gel together beautifully but the plot was generic as well. :manny:

8.5/10 for Man of Steel. Nolan's fingerprints combined with Snyder's directing is a beautiful thing..

People keep sleeping on BRANIAC...he has done way worse shyt to superman than anyone

brainiac is how u bring it all back to beginning and wrap the trilogy.

cant go there next. next is luthor. luthor is superman's joker, his green goblin, magneto, etc. u dont get to make another superman movie without tackling his greatest villain.

but brainiac brings krypton/earth back to the forefront, potentially redeems some villains (and offers a deeper explanation behind the cause of krypton's demise, depending on how far they wanna push the mythology), provides a foil that superman/luthor might have to team up for, and... if they really wanna take it there... allows the filmmakers to start a buildup towards JL by making brainiac (unbeknownst to him of course) an unsuspecting puppet of... darkseid.

With Luthor as the main villain in the next film, who does Superman actually FIGHT? I ain't tryna see Luthor in his battle suit, we need to maintain the levels of action...

I think Doomsday is such a risk. A 2 hour, 30 minute won't do the storyline justice. Similar to TDKR/Knightfall approach.

just saw this today. :ooh:

i went in :smoker: so krypton was crazy. the armor, the tech, the flying dragon things that they rode on.. everything looked incredible.

the flashbacks were kinda slow but i guess they're expected in the origins movie.

but once the action starts..

:ohlawd:

too fukking crazy. and you could follow the action easily even while everyone is flying around the screen.

i saw it in 3d because the time was more convenient. there were a couple scenes where it was cool.. but if i see it again, i'm gonna skip the 3d.

Movie was fantastic. I don't know what these dipshyt reviewers were watching, but it definitely wasn't this. Clear movie of the summer right here and one of the best superhero movies yet.
