I'm guessing because u need to lead into something like that. It would be like the Avengers fighting Thanos from the jump. The average viewer would be like

The main problem is they can't seem to get the Superman franchise started up again to make it that far.

Besides the first 2 batman flix, Nolans Trilogy, Supes II, X-2, Spidey 2 no other comic book superhero film is fukking with Watchmen b.

I'm guessing the Earth's gravity, while unable to keep Superman down, is still a gravitational pull - so it would make sense he'd get faster the further away he got.
