Can we discuss some more about zods last scene tho?

If he could've lasered that family why didn't he? Did he want to die at this point? Don't tell me that the the laser beams are restricted to the direction of the head i've never seen nothing in the super character that spells that out. And seeing as they were just exchanging megaton blows, zod had to let sup kill him rather than getting honestly murked..

Something about this shyt is wrong. Thats like saying that the super man powers are consciously driven and you can cut them off.. giving clark the opportunity to kill someone who's equal if not damn near superior to his skills. But when has the super man power ever been cut off if not for kryptonite/sunlight??

fukking awesome movie regardless, had a nikka jaw dropping during some of those fight scenes

He was making superman choose between selling out his race by killing the last of the Kryptonians or letting those earthlings die. The eyebeams are controlled by the direction of head head. Superman was controlling his head to keep those poor friends from feeling the heat. Superman chose friends and destroyed Zod.

Which is why they tried to change the magnetic field before attempting to go after Supes. That would of made Supes lose his God-like powers if they had succeeded.

Zods entire motivation was for properly securing the future of his people. It didnt matter that it was at the expense of earthlings. He didnt want to coexist, he wanted to destroy and rebuild and thats what Superman had a problem with.

In many cultures superman and his parents would be considered sellouts but superman i guess was concerned about the greater good.

The villains in this film were beyond uninteresting, so wanting to see Superman whoop their ass lacked a bit.

Outside of the religious connotations and the fight scenes, it was pretty boring.

Superman himself was a fukking bore.

So "technically" he can die you just have to either outsmart him or be stronger than him.

And yes I know he did die once in the comics. But that is a totally different ball game because I think it's almost popular belief that he can't die and only krptonite can "weaken" him.
