Yeah I'd say you got out at the right time. I watched the last season because it was my favorite show at the time and I felt obliged to but man..aside from the last episode and maybe a couple instances of Hyde working in the record store,
my fav show. well between that & leverage
What was so great about was that they didn't go over the top with the 70S theme.
Remember they tried to make a "that 80s show"

Word. They made it a show about teenagers who just so happened to live in the 70s..unlike that 80s show which kept beating you over the head reminding you its the 80s
Red Forman is a GOAT tv dad, his love of wanting to put his foot in somebody's ass is jokes.
The thing I liked about this show is that it maybe one of the last instances that they just took a bunch of newbies and let them be stars on the show. Now tv shows gotta have a big time name for it to generate a buzz.

i got into the show late as hell. But 1st 2-3 seasons are tough. One of the few comedies where every character were naturally funny. Well except for donna 
Dennis lucky he got It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia to make up from this LWith Dennis
The first few seasons are hilarious! When Eric left, and they tried to use Seth Myers' brother to fill the void... i couldnt feel it anymore. I loved Kelso's dumb ass.
