He was an incredible athlete and really nice all around player. He was a great #1 to have on a balanced team because he played with an unselfish team mentality and was willing to do some of everything - he'd hit the boards, jump the passing lanes, come from off-ball to protect the rim, he moved a ton off-ball and was always ready to make a cut or catch an alley-oop, he could score on the drive, post, or outside and he would always find the open guy.
Definitely the top shooting guard outside of Jordan in his era - he didn't have the on-ball defense of Dumars or the outside shooting of Reggie but his all-around game far surpassed either of them. We used to gas him up so much back then that we started saying shyt like, "Is Clyde as good/better than MJ?" and that's what got MJ so heated and against him.
Drexler's big weaknesses were that his handle was a bit shaky (he looked down when he dribbled and didn't really have a left) and his jumper was really shaky. Plus as Phil Jackson and MJ used to get at him for, mentally he would come up a bit short, when it came to crunch time you couldn't be sure he would necessarily make the right plays or not look lost in the moment.
