Like someone earlier said, if you know monogamy is not your thing or you need some variety in your life, you get a lot further by telling everyone what the deal is, and you'll attract the type of people who can handle the lifestyle you want. But I'm not sure that's all that's going on here. Some people are just addicted to or have become used to dysfunction and chaos. Maybe because they grew up in it, maybe because they don't have any models of what peace looks like. So they just keep recreating chaos. It's sad because life doesn't have to be like this.
