Denzel became Malcolm to me. So much so that when they show pictures of him I only saw Denzel for yrs after I saw the film. That was a master class in acting. He should've gotten the Oscar no doubt. Pacino winning for weak ass Scent of a woman was a makeup win for his body of work.

honestly, I know there was some controversy when Denzel was picked to play the character but outside of skin tone they favor each other, they look related.
