there are many things to consider here breh.
while i do agree with you that, if somebody wanted to commit suicide, why not ditch it into the gulf of thailand...but then, what if whoever was flying didn't want anyone finding the plane?
secondly, why would the pilot climb to 45,000 ft and risk disintegrating the aircraft? they wayyyyyyyyy beyond flight parameters at that point. my theory: they wanted to knock the passengers out eventhough they cud've done it at a lower altitude.
thirdly, the altitude deviations. 23,000 ft is an odd altitude. perhaps they wanted to avoid radar contact?
looking at the crew, i doubt they had any involvement in this matter whatsoever. Now i could very well be wrong, but i doubt it. Yes the captain had close to 19,000 hours, but the flight's irregularities doesn't really support this theory. During cruise, flight attendants enter into the cockpit to serve food and drinks. So what if someone or some people at that very moment, took advantage of the flight attendant and entered into the cockpit because i can tell you, without the pilots knowing, that cockpit door post 9-11 has become damn near impenetrable.
I'm curious as to how the flight attendants bring food in there. Do they just knock on the door and then the pilot looks out to see who it is before opening it? I agree that nobody broke in the cockpit by force because not only would they have a hard time getting in, the pilots would have had more than enough time to send a SOS message. There was those girls a few days back that claimed that the pilot let them in the cockpit during their flight. It could be that a terrorist used this as a weakness to get inside the cockpit.
