Making your beats "full"

The sample is laid nicely, beef up those drums and add a bassline and you would be set. If you want to add extra incorporate synths and such.

The full sound you are talking about comes from making use of all of the sound frequencies. So you need more bottom and mid range to balance where the sample is within the mix.

Then the culprit is probably that you're monitoring/mixing at a very high volume. You might want to turn your monitors down when mixing.

If I play your track side by side with any recent commercially released material, it sounds very low.
