To me this game comes down to who's more motivated and who wants to be here and that's Texas. They would have most likely been in the sugar bowl regardless of if they beat Oklahoma in the big 12 championship game or not. So they are not disappointed to be here. Georgia on the other hand played for a national championship last year against Alabama and then lost this season in the SEC championship game after blowing a double digit lead to Jalen Hurts. That was their second blown double digit lead against Alabama in as many tries. That loss eliminated them from the playoff contention. It was really playoffs or bust for them and I don't think they are thrilled to be playing in the Sugar bowl, a consolation for them. I think the motivational edge goes to Texas which will offset the talent edge that Georgia has. Bowl games can be tricky as the more talented team does not always win. Motivation plays a big role. Getting almost two touchdowns here with Texas I like it. I really love backing Texas coach Tom Herman as an underdog because it has been a very profitable position and one I cashed in on time after time this season. Tom herman is 12-2 against the spread when his teams are an underdog between his time at Houston and here at Texas. His teams have actually won most of those games outright. The guy just knows how to motivate his team when everyone is writing them off which I think is the case in today's sugar bowl against Georgia. The strength of this georgia team is the running game and the strength of the Texas defense is stopping the run holding opponents to less than 4 yards per carry. I expect this to be a closely contested game and would not be shocked to see Texas pull off the upset but give me the points here with the longhorns.

It should be a great atmosphere tonight as number 24 Nebraska comes to town. I think this Maryland squad takes them down tonight. Maryland is 10-3 this season but isn’t far off from being 13-0. They lost their 3 games by a combined 11 points to Purdue, Virginia, and seton hall. None of those are bad losses. Nebraska is 11-2 this year but I think is getting too much credit for wins over Clemson and ok st both who are down this year. The two best teams they have played are Minnesota who they lost to by 7 and Texas tech who beat them by 18. Maryland is just as good if not better than those two. Maryland has covered 4 of their last 5 against teams with a winning record. Give me Maryland tonight.
