he would need to SCORE a TD (ie rush one, or catch one) at any point in the game for you to win.

gotta pray for a rush TD because I don't think he's gonna be doing a Philly special

because 7 is a key number.

if oakland wins by 7 and he sold the hook, he pushes rather than wins.

even 6 is a key #, and he'd rather push than lose if the seahawks win by 6. if the game ended as it is (Seattle 13, Carolina 7) he'd get his money back.

If oakland or any team won by 7 and he took 7 he gets his money back.

The line is -6.5 so if he gambled and sold the hook he would win more than even money if Oakland won by 8 or more. Yes selling the hook is a gamble but you get more money back if you win of course

Now on the flip side if he bought it at -6.5 which he did and oakland won by 6 then he lost completely, wouldnt have gained anything because -6.5 isnt even at even money on the payout. Its still a juiced line AND you took it at a number that makes no sense. 6.5 , 5.5 , 4.5 etc aren't even real numbers in sports.

But if he sold the hook and oakland won by 6 he gets his money back.

There is nothing at all to gain by taking a line on a hook. You don't win more money because the line isnt even at money, you cant even push and get your money back because its impossible to win any sports game @ .5

The only people that make money on .5 are the books and vegas. Hooks are for suckers.

You want to set yourself up to either win or push and you cant do those two with a hook

thats odd language though. throwing a touchdown to me sounds like scoring one lol but i guess it technically means you have to carry it into the endzone

by NFL rules, you score only if you're the one who puts it in the endzone (ie receive, rush, tackle on a safety or if you kick a FG or XP)
