When I am placing my bet, my only consideration is how the teams match-up, sometimes playing at home and the weather is a factor, and of course key injuries...it ultimately comes down to who I think will win (the ML), and I'll consider the spreads if I think they are favorable.
I don't care about who most bettors are picking or which side has the big money.
For team sports, I am doing volume every day, and always aiming at plus odds. I start the day certain I will drop a few, but at the odds I’m winning at when I do, makes the endeavors overall worth it. There’s some cases I’m not thrilled with my chances but at the price I’m getting, if they could pass a good enough threshold of probability to me, I’m going along for that ride.
For some baseball cards and fights, there’s less volume across but way bigger bread down and a higher degree of certainty.
and if it’s something that made it through and I’m on it large enough, which side has the money won’t concern me. But if it’s not one of those bets, it’s a mental thing where I choose to live and die by underdog money, and I feel better dealing with losses within this system, as I just can’t stand losing with the crowd on anything that has a minus sign in front of it.
