I like this viewpoint here:

Yes, go with ECU. No, I am not on drugs. Yes, this is 2020, but you just can't pick every favorite. Now the oddsmakers, who were undervaluing Cincinnati, are doing the opposite. There is not a lot of value to pick the Bearcats laying around four touchdowns at home against a conference opponent. East Carolina will show up for a Friday night on national TV because they will have nothing to lose. Cincinnati will start to overlook these huge underdogs. Their passing offense and Ahlers will make this game competitive until the Bearcats wear them down late with their running game.

I took Cincy -27. Pretty simple handicap: Cincy run the ball a lot, and ECU give up a lot of big plays on the ground. Plus Cincy is always going to run up the score whenever they can because they want a New Year Day bowl game.

I got helped out with a few picks, including a pick six.

EDIT: And as I finished the post the Bearcats score a 75 yard rushing TD with 10 seconds left. This is abuse.
