I need to get back to watching MLW. Covid and WWE/AEW raiding their roster really fukked them up.
Its such a shame too because the gears were turning in the beginning. They had the following:
- A sports feel despite it being wrestling
- A win/loss record that's not bullshyt
- Compelling storylines
- Tony Schavone on the stick
- A legit wargames
- fukkery driven battle royale
- Stables that actually made sense
- A reasonable crowd gathering
One thing MLW's done good to adjust to their roster getting gutted has been booking really good journeyman lucha stuff. Most of the MLW Azteca stuff is fun to watch.
edit: But please dear God stop pushing Microman. A stupid gimmick to throw in for a laugh in a broken down match is one thing. Teaming this guy with Taya Valkyrie in main events is not the way.
