Yeah I'm with this. It isn't great, but it's short, has some interesting matches, and Tony Schiavone is calling the action. They do have some shytty talent, but also some super hot indie talent and impressive unknowns with simple storylines and trying to hit you with pre-Hogan WCW nostalgia.

It's a decent show to put on as background noise and maybe actually sit down to watch a match in full occasionally. They are trying to evoke WCW and occasionally ECW with a mix of "legit" sport. I'm cool with that, and I love that they often do specials. I'm wondering who is bankrolling this. Is it all Bauer? The amount of shows he's able to book plus the known talent (Lucha Bros., Hart Foundation, Swann, John Morrison, Swagger, Callihan, etc.) can't be cheap. The original MLW mostly stayed in Florida, they've branched out NYC a few times already.

They really need to drop the local talent. Death Machines, Dirty Blondes and Hughes are terrible. They seem set on trying to make Hughes a thing though.

samu was in there wrestling with stage 4 cancer.

I believe there was an article about a bunch of Wall Street investors from New York are the ones funding the promotion

This shyt seems trash
some weeks it can be trash. I'm the type of fan where you give me some simple storylines and I can follow the shyt. I like that they aren't doing typical indy shyt where there is zero build to shyt. And they properly use interview segments and promos. It's a simple wrestling formula that will always work. But I do hate that they bring in guys like Dreamer. Like breh let these nikkas fade into training Bolivian. You've got dudes like Shake Strickland and Fenix to focus on. But like somebody else said, it's a decent little show to put on in the background while you doing other shyt.

Off the music and graphics alone I'm loving this Fright Night special. :russ:

Who is Schiavone dressed up as? Jocephus? :dwillhuh:

:dahell:

they got some type of deal with TMZ Sports?

mad random.

TMZ did a sit down interview with Morrison and his viking wife to promote Bound For Glory as well. I guess someone there is a rasslin fan.

Spin the Wheel match between Havoc and Callihan was fukkery. Havoc giving Callihan paper cuts with a Joey Ryan 8x10 and squeezing lemon juice on him :heh: Crowd chanting "get the salt!" And then apparently someone ran some salt down to the ring. :pachaha:

Crowd getting on Sami for his untied laces and his heart socks was funny as well.

Classic Niccas
last night's show was dope.

felt like Halloween havoc lite, all the way down to the classic intro.

havoc/callihan was good but their match at that "impact vs the UK" show last month was way better.

Selina says she ratted out Pentagon and Fenix to ICE and that's why they aren't there this week :dead:

What bothers me is the announcers are obviously not at the venue doing commentary. I get that it's cost efficient to have them come into a studio and do a bunch of episodes at once, but it hurts the energy level of commentating. Instead of being caught in the moment with the energy of the building or angle, they sound so emotionally detached and calm.

yall see that move teddy hart did??

Canadian destroyer off of a doomsday device!!!!!!!!!
I don't care what nobody say...that nikka can GO!!! Had his opponent pretty close to the ropes...already in a 16 foot ring...Dude jumps up to the 3rd rope and hits the most perfect springboard moonsault I've probably ever seen. Like it was nothing...like he did a scoop slam or something. Incredible. And that Doomsday Destroyer...sick. Not to mention that Blockbuster Powerbomb double team move. Both moves were done completely safely too.
