What is it with old people and Hurricanes? Practically every senior citizen my family knows in Tampa or St. Petersburg, FL is riding the storm out.

Just stubborn and hard headed for no reason.

Many haven't even checked the evacuation zone information.

They got money and we wouldn't hesitate to send them some if they needed it.

We go through this every major storm with older family members living on the coast. You practically have to force them to leave. Because they aren't evacuating willingly.

Looks like it's shifted under Tampa headed towards Sarasota directly. By the time it hits it probably shifts even more south as it's been shifting the last 24hours.

I heard we had one nearby earlier. Was out crossing over alligator alley so not by homes but still never know. Meteorologist on fox said there was one in dade also and another that was further west from here close to collier. Those outer bands tend to create these tornadoes so gotta be on alert.
