I have never heard of an Hurricane restrengthening
:picard:

That's nothing new at all.
Hurricanes can lower in category and then later restrengthen to a higher category. This can happen cause of changes in environmental conditions, such as sea surface temperatures, wind shear, and moisture availability. Like a hurricane might weaken as it moves over land or into cooler waters but can regain strength if it moves back over warm waters or encounters more favorable atmospheric conditions.

It's a common occurrence in hurricane dynamics. It's nothing new

Yes, you definitely don't want to move to Florida with the humidity and storms. Tell all your NY people they'd be stupid to move down there.

Same thing probably would happen that happened during Katrina, most will go to nearby southern states. The wealthier FL residents that came from NY or NJ for example prolly go back those states.

Let's see how south it moves. Gonna move some stuff inside tomorrow anyways cuz even if not by the eye, should still see 40+ mph winds. Southern move better for Tampa cuz it moves the water out of the bay being on the north part. Of course that may affect st pete more being on the west of it.

One thing i find beneficial even being on the outer bands area is knowing wind direction and navigational direction especially when it comes to ones home. Like i know my front door faces north and the wind on the south part of the storm will be coming west to east so one side of the house is better shielded from the storm than the other.

Bad thing about a shift further south is the critical effect it has on naples and the southwest florida area. Especially all those small islands on that coast. If people thought they were safe there and expected it to hit more north near tampa. The wind gonna be pushing the storm surge more towards them on that south side. I think sanibel island was one of the islands affected massively from that last hurricane that caused the bridge to be damaged and lots of flooding. All that area gonna be in danger with the shift. We will have to see how the morning update looks but all that west coast at risk depending on where it lands.
