:dahell: why would they fukin design it like that

Ignorance thinking that Category 4 and 5 Storms wouldn't become the norm every season, and that Tampa Bay, being a big name city, would never suffer a direct hit. Its sort of like how "Big Cities never get a Big Tornado".

I don't know if it's that hospital but i seen a video during helene of one putting up these flood walls to help prevent flooding.

This shyt. Of course just getting to the hospital gonna be impossible if the bridge not working unless they got boats ready.

Tampa hasn't had a direct hit in over 100 years. So i can see why they been less cautious. Of course things been changing now.

Shoot even where I'm at it has been getting less common. We had Irma back in 2017 go up the west part of the state and cause damage including loss of power for a few days. Katrina passed thru here in 05 before destroying New Orleans, and then Andrew in 92. So it hasn't been consistent and i think only Irma affected Tampa. Maybe someone knows more but usually if a hurricane hits down here it doesn't impact up there much and vice versa.

Always gotta be careful and prepared tho.
