Im kinda confused, just finished watching an expected something ground breaking.

Especially when it comes to the singing shyt it's been known Drake takes songs. Weeknd confirmed all this already, Kanye West wrote Find Your Love... Did people not know this already ?

Even on the rap shyt nobody ever gave Drake the level of a top super lyricist anyway so what's changed? All we know is Drake is an artist who delivered high level enjoyable product consistently. Top level MCs at its pure form are Kendrick, Cole etc but we already knew that :/

All this shyt tells me is Drake has a similar creating process to Kanye West... aka the greatest creative mind of our generation.

Would be cool if niqqas could discuss this calmly without getting in feelings and talk about dikk riding but I won't hold my breath :pachaha:

100% agree. It's gonna ALL come out. It's starting to happen slowly. Everytime they ask these dudes in interviews they let shyt out more and more
Why can't it just be that the biracial Canadian from toronto is the first of his kind? :laff:

Everybody gotta be thrown under the bus for this fool? :laff:

nikkas think these rappers just lock theirselves in the studio with the producer and engineer and write records??? :mjlol: yeah maybe when they're TRYING to get on but nah. There's LOTS of people putting in on these records.
What I don't get is why you seem to be entirely against the idea that there are genuine talents out there who don't need an army of cats to write their music ? :dahell:

There are dudes who make a living in the underground writing all of their lyrics (hooks, verses, album concepts etc.) like a Skyzoo or Tech N9ne. Some even take the role of writer AND producer where they're doing the lion's share of the production AND writing all of their lyrics even rapping the hooks eschewing an
R&B feature and only using one when it's appropriate like Oddisee for example.
I feel if these guys who are operating on a significantly smaller budget than people on majors can write their own material then I have a hard time believing someone who's posted up in a fancy expensive studio and who has access to thousands of hungry producers, musicians, singers etc. would struggle to bring to fruition their own ideas.

And to close this post out :
I've seen singer/song writers who don't make Hip-Hop music but they churn out great stuff that's pretty much the result of their own ideas (metal cats, R&B artists etc.)

So I really, REALLY don't buy this idea that people need someone else to make them great.

On KRS One's nose, eating sunflower seeds.
To be fair Meek had been taking shots here and there since his first diss flopped. Summer Sixteen was the first time Drake has really even addressed dude.

Yeah, however, he practically destroyed Meek and made him the laughing stock of the world. There was no need to even address him again, I mean his diss song to Meek was nominated for Grammy, so why drop some weak useless bars in a new song....unless....insecurity is taking over.

U know this isn't true tho, drake fans hype of his lyrics as being great and compared him to cole and Kendrick before this dropped all the time. That pure foolishness and u know it

Nah, at least Kanye is the visionary.

He has a vision for what he wants, then he goes out to get the people that will help him make it reality. He's still in creative control of the project.

Drakes team is just out snatching up already made shyt and throwing Drake on it. He's not even doing that himself, he needs a team to tell him what to steal.

Dudes only talent is acting at this point:smh:

Drakes' at Drakes' level because of clever
marketing, cosigns and climbing up
the ranks on the backs of other people.

I mean I'll put it this way, Judith Hill isn't
on Katy perry's "level" but I'll be damned
if I say Katy Perry's more talented than a
pianist who can sing AND write her own material.
