Lifelong Chiefs fan and defender of Alex Smith since he's been here. It's time to bench him. He's clearly regressing. Not seeing wide open receivers, throwing untimely pics, too many check downs that aren't working like they have at times. The defense has held the other teams to 12 and 16 points the last two weeks. I'm also not high on our shytty o-line either. But this week it wasn't them and there wasn't some high level pass rusher on the other side. They did good enough. The defense did good enough. I said 4 years ago, Chiefs will never win with Alex Smith. The defense and the type of play your QB have go hand in hand. I've viewed the chiefs D as a play making defense, not a shut em down defense. You can't have a game manager for a QB with that kind of defense.

Nah you definitely got to blame Smith now. 10 this week, 9 last week, 17 against the Cowboys (with 7 coming from the lucky ass hail mary). Defense has been doing its job while the offense hasn't provided any help.

Smith can win but clearly he needs great players around him and a 2015-16 Broncos SB caliber type defense on the other side of the ball. But u can say Brady needs good players around him. Smith started out playing very well this year. With the Chiefs regressing....he will,probably be traded to another team.
