their defense has been trash the entire season, no one noticed with that red hot start offensively. Eric Berrys absence is monumental, directly responsible for the losses to Pittsburgh & Oakland.

everyone knows it's Mahomes team moving forward, and he landed with the GOAT QB guru. they're probably better off letting Smith finish out the season so whatever they get in a trade for him this off-season can be decent.

This nikka made a # of special plays all throughout the preseason, and should've been starting since day one; allowed to play through his ups/downs and develop, gaining valuable league experience along the way. KC is in desperate need of a playmaker at the QB position, and most importantly needs someone who doesn't just primarily throw to the flats and shallow cross routes, someone who just lets that thang go. The Chiefs will forever be in football purgatory as long as that cracker (whose name isn't even worth mentioning) is starting.

As a Chiefs fan it really confuses me why they stopped looking down the field as much. When they were killing shyt early in the season they were taking more risks and going down the field a lot more. Now they've reverted back to the offense of last year with everything being a quick dump off, or quasi-screen passes and the offense has died. Don't know if that's on Reid or Alex Smith but the shyt is frustrating.

That combined with them for some reason deciding as soon as they hit the red zone to start trying to get cute with the playcalling instead of using what helped them drive down the field in the first place.

Bench a top 3 Rated Quarterback in the entire league with an 18-3 TD/INT ratio, 2700 yards and 70% Completion rate in the season with your team leading the division after ONE Bad game for an unproven rookie Brehs. Their loses have more to do with the injuries to their defense and the horrible coaching. Kareem Hunt been slumping for the last 5 games as well. Sit him down too?

as someone who has literally watched every mahomes game, the chiefs are doing the right thing. crazy arm talent, but the mental aspect needs to be developed. playing under kliff gave him the mindset of a downfield thrower but he also takes alot of risk and does bonehead shyt under pressure. I wouldnt throw him into the fire, Id wait until you know dude has a grasp of the mental aspect. pre-season really dont mean shyt. cooper rush looked all-pro in preseason. i'd wait it out.

They were averaging 33 points per game before the losing streak. I know you want Mahomes but Smith isn't the problem. It's the defense.

Alex Smith can win you a Super Bowl......in the right year when the schedule fall is your favor. In that middling group of Qb’s....I know plenty of coaches would prefer him and his skill set to that of Dalton/Eli/Flacco/Cutler. I bet the Jags would love to have him.

His problem is he can’t win you games and more often than not, your going to run into 1-4 meaningful games a year when your going to need your QB to.

If you have a guy on your roster who you think has that, time for Alex to find a new team.
