he literally got his team to the afc chip multiple times how many qbs can say that not named manning or Brady, that includes last weeks amazing game, if you find a way to limit any qbs weapons or get to him, none will be good
But both his main weapons had a TD plus hard man how about that defense they need some blame, how about not running on three man fronts or not kicking a field goal before halftime??

This is what I am talking about. You making it seem like Mahommes all by himself is taking KC to these conference championships. It should be obvious that's not the case. If Hill and/or Kelce don't have a big game, the chiefs don't win consistently, so I don't understand why you saying "he got his team.". When the defense was trash to start the season, what was KC record? Why couldn't Mahommes win consistently then?

Same dudes clowning Mahomes would kill to have him playing for their favorite team.

Mahomes is not a fraud, but he trusts his arm and his athletic ability a little to much and gets reckless as hell at times. That wins him a lot of regular season ball games and gives him gaudy statistical numbers.

He doesn’t have that same huge margin for error to work with in a playoff game where coordinators and other coaches are scheming for him, the game slows down, and the other team is playing much harder because it’s a win or go home scenario.

He’ll be alright, I believe he’ll get to and win at least another super bowl or two before it’s all said and done. He’s going to have to deal with a lot of these younger guys that are hungry and up and coming too now like Burrow, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and I’m sure eventually Justin Herbert will enter the chat to at some point. That’s not to mention the older guys like Rodgers, Russell Wilson, etc. that will be coming for his neck.

the qb more directly impacts a teams fortune than other positions, if y’all want to go that route no qb deserves credit, and despite having weapons( which teams should do) if he’s not the trigger man this doesn’t work the way it was, they had smith and kelce and they were ok at best

Also, Watson often made tight-window throws more than Mahomes did, especially in coverage.

Watson isn't perfect, but more is expected of him from a cerebral/IQ standpoint and pure quaterbackjng standpoint than Mahomes.

The Favre comparison is perfect for Mahomes - both are big dudes with once in a generation arm talent and mobility - but those traits allowed them to slack off on learning how to properly and CONSISTENTLY disect defenses... which is why, after his first couple of super bowl runs... when defenses figured out his team's offensive scheme... Favre had games where he would throw really ugly interceptions because he didn't know what he was looking at or what to do... and similarly, Mahomes has started to look really ugly, running and scrambling backwards like a mad man instead of staying composed and trying to read the defense and ADJUST with audibles and attacking soft spots in the defense.

In short, both guys when faced with adversity, would just play low iq backyard football/hero ball since they never learned or cared to attack a defense. Everything was schemed up for their talent.
