I gotta say Mase is one of the few artists that were actually better as a radio-friendly rapper with the occasional hard record than the other way around. Actually, might be the only one.

Don't get me wrong, I could do without certain joints he made in his shiny suit era... but Mase's pre-Bad Boy sh*t is just a lotta aiiight shyt. Especially them shyts where he's rhymin' all loud and aggressive with that voice And when it came to COC, he was miles behind Cam and leagues behind L.

He did kill on nikkaz Done Started Something and McGruff's Uptown Connect tho' For the most part tho', dude was off the radar.
