Just think about this for a second.
If Magic wanted to just play the power forward position or was forced to coming into the league, and had Norm Nixon to be the full time PG, Magic would have at the very least retired as the greatest power forward ever. He basically would've played as an uber elite version of Vlade Divac.
Magic had all of the post moves, the hook shots, strong down low (), and obviously had the god tier vision that that big position has rarely seen (Bron and Bird being part time PFs). When he came back in 1996, he was pretty much just bullying guys in the post until he tried to force Nick Van Exel off the ball.
Maybe Duncan would have eventually been considered better if Magic only played the PF but I don't really think anyone else would have been.
