Just think about this for a second.

If Magic wanted to just play the power forward position or was forced to coming into the league, and had Norm Nixon to be the full time PG, Magic would have at the very least retired as the greatest power forward ever. He basically would've played as an uber elite version of Vlade Divac.

Magic had all of the post moves, the hook shots, strong down low (:dame:), and obviously had the god tier vision that that big position has rarely seen (Bron and Bird being part time PFs). When he came back in 1996, he was pretty much just bullying guys in the post until he tried to force Nick Van Exel off the ball.

Maybe Duncan would have eventually been considered better if Magic only played the PF but I don't really think anyone else would have been.

Duncan would’ve unseated him like he did everyone else. Duncan’s defense>>>>>>>>

Was Magic really a scorer like that? :patrice: I feel like taking the ball out of his hands would be doing him a disservice
Magic could've done whatever he wanted on the court. He's underrated despite everyone knowing he's a top 5 player. Magic could've gotten buckets at will if that's what he wanted to do. He chose to run the team and the offense because he was elite at that too.

I mean Magic could still run the offense at times while playing PF, Kg did it. The thing is how much does a person value defense and rebounding from your PF.

Magic also became better at shooting 3’s near the end of his career. And was a great free throw shooter in general. But when he started playing down low more his rebounds decreased because he had to spend time boxing out with big men.

Duncan’s defense is far superior to Magic’s but Magic’s offense>>>>>>>>. Still I think Duncan would be considered better even if he is partly a center

Magic wouldn’t be good enough defensively to be a G.O.A.T. PF.

And :mjlol: at gassing his scoring talking about he could average 30 smdh

HE AVERAGED 24 POINTS A GAME ON 16 SHOT ATTEMPTS

COULD EASILY BEEN A 30 PPG GUY IF HE WAS MORE SELFISH

Just checked his numbers, didn't realize he averaged 20 on 52% for his career :ehh:
