Folks just stop paying. I know plenty of people that stopped paying their student loans.
Getting a car might be a hassle, but it's not like they need to care about buying a house.
They were never gonna make salaries that allowed them to buy a house in the first place.

What I haven't figured out in 30 years - when businesses (and cooperating governments) impoverish the richest consumers in the world - who are they gonna sell stuff to?
Keep selling to consumers that can't pay, using banks that create money out of thin air? To prop up stock prices, 90% are owned by the top 10%? - who's only value is determined by that same top 10%?
It's madness.
I don't think these CEOs have thought that far ahead. They foolishly believed China would never compete directly against them. Now their losing access to that market.
The Government will just take student loan defaulters Social Security checks or refunds. You can get taxed now or much later. But you'll pay a huge portion of that debt. I worked two jobs to pay mine off early.

China got opened up for geopolitical reasons. It wasn't at the behest of American CEOs.
Nixon, then Carter, then everyone else, but especially Bill Clinton hated Communism. And they had the idea that China integrated into the capitalist economy would bring about political change. If everyone gets rich, why would they need communism.
In a sense, they were right.
When Deng Xiaoping said, "To get rich is glorious" - that ended "communism".
But in another sense, the US/West thought the Chinese would pick a liberal democracy and capitalism.
Instead the Chinese picked capitalism and an authoritarian government.
Those in power, the CCCP, could not let go of power. Part of that is because power corrupts, but also economic coordination at that level can't happen with that type of population without a powerful state. (arguably its the problem with India and Indonesia and Nigeria)
They could not let citizen's rights hold back the state.
Freedom is not profitable.
Freedom threatens cooperation.
Tax Refunds - they didn't have access to the $ anyway. And it can easily be fixed with adjusting the deductions.
The social security is more of a problem - but folks will just kick the can down the road anyway.
A lot of folks of retirement age are still working.
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just telling you that most people aren't going to take that type of responsibility for their own lives.
There's money and power in understanding typical American behavior.

His deal is that he is a racist. Besides that chart, which was compiled by the author of that tweet, they also promote other content that is racially biased and presented under the guise of "science." They also claim the data was "compiled using Common App data," but it doesn't actually collect that kind of data. It seems to focus on demographic and academic information, not IQ scores or anything that could directly infer IQ. They are fabricating data and trying to pass it off as legitimate analysis.
