People that will be AFFECTED by this the most is the middle class

Dollar for dollar the upperclass will be taxed more with less incentive to itemize meaning they will be paying more taxes but it wont AFFTECT them as much bc they can afford to pay more.

The lower class will actually benefit in the illustrations i see bc they dont itemize anyway and the are doubling the SE and also pushing up the child credit.

All in all it is hurting the middle class though which is myself and I hate it...

Just thank God they are grandfathering in the mortgage interest deduction rule

I think that it depends on what State you are in. If you are in a State with high State income taxes then you are going to get pounded worse than a hooker when a Naval Fleet hits port.

From what I have seen of the proposed tax plan it looks like there will be an attempt to limit the amount of the State income taxes that you can deduct on your Federal return. The proposal also seeks to limit the amount of your home mortgage interest and real estate taxes that can be deducted on the Federal return.

If you stop and think about it; that is actually a tax increase for citizens of California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts and a lot of other Northeastern and Midwestern States that have high real estate values, high real estate taxes and high income taxes.

This is pretty much a redistribution of wealth to very rich people and very poor states. Very poor Southern States like Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and West Virginia, already get more more out of Federal tax dollars than they pay in; now they might really clean up. Those broke Cacs in those poor States claim not to like welfare, but they stand to really be welfare queens under these proposals.
