I've put a few hours in and I enjoy it. The story is great and I like the gunplay.

But yeah it is pretty repetitive so far. "Go talk to this guy, now go kill all these people, interrogate guy, Now go talk to your guy again...."
Plus the bugs and optimization

But I'm gonna finish it and support black characters

Graphics, lack of customization, can't throw bodies in dumpsters, dumb A.I., mission variety, no online, repetitive hand to hand combat. Story alone almost makes everything I named not matter tho

They need an extreme difficulty setting to level out how easy it is to murk enemies. If the A.I. used better tactics, flanking, better use of cover, etc...it would be more difficult. I had the shyt on hard since day 1 & still feel like it's hard to die in this game

Graphics aren't great, but they never were, it was like a low rent GTA, except it focused more on telling a story, which they do perfectly in this one. Also they incorporate stealth a hell of a lot better than in the GTA games (which isn't saying much, but still enough). Glitches aside, its a great game if you like the whole revenge/mafia thing, the throwback to Vito was great, and I think that's the point a lot of reviewers are missing. (Jaded thought aside) It's a game that tells the same tired story, just with more character. This could very well be a movie, because its presented as such, that alone made me like it more.

For fans of the series, this is easily an 8/10...for new comers, definitely a 6, simply because its up against or rather, its going to be compared to the GOAT (GTA)...and that's fine but I got Mafia because I like the characters and story, I bought GTA because I like the characters and vast world to kill millions of people in.

So I decided to restart GTA 5 from the beginning to get a proper comparison to this. The Graphics alone in GTA 5 makes me want to ask for my money back for this game
