I dunno man, I think this might be one of the few things they've got right recently - if they manage to ride it properly (spoiler: they won't) she could be an amazing dog-whistling alt-right/TrumpTrain heel. That could get Sgt Slaughter backing Iraq level heat in the right city... but they're gonna pull the punch because it'd probably piss off all their racist fans, which is still way too many or start an actual race riot in an arena.
So actually, you're right tbh - if they're not gonna do it properly, they should just babyface her up and drop the snooty southern bells shyt.

I get what y'all are saying, but I'm just saying she can easily be the female John Cena too. No one on the women's roster is a pure babyface, except for Bayley. And even still, Bayley has been acting like a heel since she won the Smackdown title
Her background/real world credentials are basically on par with Kurt Angle in terms of "obvious babyface."
But the portrayal is where it changes.
