Gun laws should be changed to minimize the chance of a nut obtaining them legally. But I would argue mass shootings are more the fault of the media and violent culture in the US. When mass shootings happen less frequently in other countries, in some European countries do not cover the incident like the American media with 24/7 coverage and cement in the public consciousness that if you want attention and a way publically vent your hostility towards the world as you get back at it, mass shooting will give you the attention you need.

Also, we have a culture that glorifies violence as a solution to many issues. We freak out more at nudity than movies where people's heads are chopped off and we have a government and populace that use bombing people to pieces as a solution to the problems in the world.

Anyways, I personally plan to still carry so I can at least have a fighting chance in situations like this if I'm not capped first and also to maintain an advantage in other dangerous situations.
