I've experienced the same thing. We went from a small company with around 50 employees with one CEO. I was the third on the pecking order in terms of voice and making decisions and treated like royalty. We got bought out by a billion dollar corporation. We became an autonomous partner for about two years. After that they began jumping in and taking over and we became transformed into a small division within the overall picture. I'd go to corporate meetings and might as well be invisible. They wouldn't even mention our division when talking of corporate plans. I heard the same speech about how important I was and how happy they are to work with me due to all the things they've heard to eventually just existing and being another nameless face in the room. It's a real hit to the ego.as someone going into the corporate world don storyline is making me wanna reevaluate my pointless life....
The meeting scene with the box lunches for all the drones and the drones all turning the pages of their briefs at the same time.... Really hits home
