I dug the Wire but I think it gave suburban cats too much belief that they know what's really hood after watching the show

Just rewatched this episode. I think Don got caught off guard with that waitress fukking him and sending him on his way. This is 1970 & the start of the womens liberation movement where sex was free and women began to use men just for sex just as men did with them.

Nah, the chick fukked because she thought that's what the $100 tip Roger left was for.

Stan is the only one that has a grip on life on that show. Dude does has job well but he doesn't let it consume him. Those pigs from McCann who were at the meeting with Peggy/Joan mad me cringe. The white man's power was carte blanche back in the day. He could do and say whatever he wanted. My man Don is so lost. He's living the life most young men dream about but dude is so fukking miserable. It really hit him that he really has nothing when he found out that Rachel lived a fulfilling life. Capitalism really holds nothing sacred in our society. Everyone and everything is a commodity.
Don's tried that family/fulfilling lifestyle and it always results in the same alcoholism/adultery/misery. He's going to have to realize that life ain't for him at some point and embrace that rich cac Roger empty life style.

And it's interesting there was zero screen time given to Betty, and the kids. Hopefully it remains that way, or close to it.

:ohhh:

You're right

Mad men be having you doing that -- over analyzing everything. :russ:

After they had sex, Don asked her when she was done from her shift and she rebuffed him by saying that he got his $100 worth and that he can go now.

One thing I've always wanted to come back around was Peggy's child. It would be kinda cliche but its just something that Peggy seems to never think about nor Pete. It just feels weird how it's never touched upon. Maybe that's just life though, they've both strong enough to move on and not let that bother them anymore.
