I thought about that too breh, looking back at Aliens and T2, and other female characters throughout the years like Xena, the girl from the second Riddikk, and others that are slipping my mind right now, etc.. Any of those, I can understand a feminist relating to, and all of those are female characters that I can rock with. I don't recall any of those characters being associated with feminism, yet, I can understand if feminists would identify with them and that would be ok with me. Sh!t I wouldn't have a choice but to be ok with it anyway. Free country. My beef is, with this, beyond simply identifying with it, it's coming off like it is in fact a propaganda piece. From the director, to the consultant, the actors, actresses, critics, Hollywood in general, etc., the whole thing comes off like a conspiracy or elaborate(not to sound like a nut) agenda with multiple participants from various backgrounds. Considering Hollywood style liberalism, it's not a stretch.

Even the premise, with Furiosa rescuing the harem, reminds me of how some arrogant and condescending feminists see themselves as being the savior for females even if those same females don't realize or acknowledge the benefits they've gained as a result of feminism. For the past couple of years since 3rd wave feminism has become the latest fad, it's noteworthy when someone states how/why they're not a feminist, the feminists swoop in like vultures to not only educate them, but to shame them. It's like their own little twisted version of saving the damsel in distress. In some cases they even seek to appropriate women and men for the cause using the argument that if you agree with the textbook definition of feminism, than obviously you're a feminist. Admittedly, if no mention of feminism was ever brought up since this film's buzz picked up, I would have never associated it with feminism. Now since it's a topic, it's almost like the film is tainted to me. I see feminism in the film where it shouldn't be obvious. Almost how feminists see sexism where it's not obvious or even non-existant. Anyways, I'll pass on it.

What about go see the movie, make your own opinion and THEN come rambling about such and such supposed feminism. I can't stand people who talk shyt when they didn't even study the things they talk about. If back in the days a critic would have said rocky promote patriotism and anti communism you would have pass on it just because?

Your opinion is irrelevant until you go see it and if not just stfu

my only gripes it wasnt violent enough and yall hyped this shyt to much once it got to third act the killings were the same as the first act :beli:
still a dope movie tho was very frsh not mad at the coli way better than that action movie yall hyped john wick
as a black man this hurts to say this but this was better than equalizer

think i might take my dad to see this

dont know if good enough to add in blu ray collection

as a rated r movie this still felt pg 13 i need someone nuts to get blown off or head severed i think i could have took my 8 year old daughter see this :patrice:

lol @ it not being violent enough, I think you're mistaking violence for gore. People have gotten so used to that clinical MPAA-style of rating movies (count the amount of swear words, count the amount of nudity, count the amount of visible wounds, sum it all up) that they're forgetting there's such a thing like atmosphere, and to me the atmosphere of this movie warrants that R-rating more than a John Wick does with its 50+ headshots. And it's because the atmosphere is so strong that Miller can so easily throw aside the concept of 'money shots'. When a guy gets hit by a chainsaw then falls off a rig he doesn't feel to show you his mauled corpse laying in the sand, because you know the guy is toast and showing it tells us nothing we don't already know. All it would do is kill the momentum of the action at hand, and that's exactly where Miller succeeds, because every chase is a devastating barrage of violence that never ceases or slows down until the very chase itself is over, the way it should be.

Reason I said this the main bad guys deaths should be more gorey don't really care about anyone else but the main ones should be sent off in a way :krs:

Drive maybe, simply because it single-handedly pushed retro 80's style back into the mainstream.

Like I said, Miller ain't that kind of director but...

the Bullet Farmer, the People Eater and the Immortan Joe still take the most 'gore damage' on screen. The Bullet Farmer's eyes are bleeding from getting ripped apart by shards from the exploding search light, the People Eater is shot to pieces with his eye taking a bullet also, and the Immortan Joe's jaw is ripped clean off. Again, Miller doesn't want the momentum of the action to falter on him lingering longer on such gore than is necessary to get the point.

This shyt was mind blowing from start to finish...

Literally from the time max steps on the salamander to the time the film ends shyt is straight :whoo:

The cinematography in this movie is some of the best I have ever seen...

The car stunts in this movie are just :whoo:...I won't ever be able to watch and F&F movie again cause the first 5 minute car sequence in this movie blows every F&F car sequence out of the water...

shyt was just as dark and gritty as the book...

2 hours long and their is probably not 20 total minutes where their isn't some action...

Acting was pretty good...story was...well there wasn't much of one but the previews should tell you that...

If you a fan of the series you need to go see this...if you a fan of action movies you need to go see this...

Words cannot accurately describe what this movie looks like in motion...

Cult classic...instant classic...and is easily the new bar for R-rated action movies...

On one hand I want Miller to drop another one...on the other hand he should just drop the mic and walk away cause what he did right here is the epitome of going out on top...
