The 1st one was Miller's first time directing ever, and he basically was on some "fucck it, lets film a movie and make shyt up along the way". The fact that they had zero budget, no permits, and all the crazy driving was WITHOUT any safety hazards guards or nothing.... all of that shyt 100% live on camera is really just crazy when you think about it.
