I'm still trying to figure out how Vince forgave Hoegan for snitching on him & almost bringing down his empire in the steroid trial but held a posthumous grudge against Macho Man.
Vince was making Macho Man sit in the booth before he left. He was putting Macho on the backburner, to pave the way for new stars like Shawn Michaels. He was basically saying you too old and not hot anymore, we don't want you performing in the ring. So Randy took his Slim Jim deal and went to WCW where they let him wrestle again.

It was a deal where both sides are gonna be hurt, and it's unfortunate that he passed before they both reconciled.

Macho in the HOF now so :yeshrug:. Vince has never said anything bad about him really. You can bet a few more years of him alive and they would have reconciled alas Bret and Warrior.

When you mentioned the Slim Jim situation & Savage taking his deal to WCW with him, wasn't Diesel doing those commercials around the time of his face turn (late 94/early 95)?

It was right after Randy left yeah, but that commercial was obviously aimed at the MLB and NHL lockouts that were going on at that time.

The end of that last little bit had nothing to do with Slim Jim.

Ohhh yeah the first part of that is this commercial, which is the one I thought you meant.

Yeah they tried a quick one with Diesel but it wasn't the same and they stayed with Randy until WWE bought WCW. I think technically the deal is with the wrestling company, I heard a Bischoff interview where he said the money they got from the Sim Jim guys basically paid for Randy's contract on it's own.

That's why I wonder what it really was that have Vince holding a grudge like he did but forgave Hoegan for being a rat.

The McMahons have proven they don't have to do anything if they don't want. I don't believe Vince would overlook Randy Savage statutory rape of his daughter just to legitimize the HOF even in death. Vince probably just got deep in his feelings when Macho Man went to WCW and Randy Savage trashed Hulk Hogan maybe they were afraid he shyt on them too? Maybe turned the HOF down while he was alive? I'm just speculating those are more plausible than that urban legend.

I believe their fear of Chyna saying or doing something embarrassing during the HOF had more to do with not inducting her during her lifetime more so than the porn.
Wouldnt surprise me if smashing Steph was simply a rumor Randy came up with; a rumor you couldnt really address as it was a lie or didnt happen.....You see trolling Randy got at Hogan in the early 2000s

he did turn it down, multiple times according to Mean Gene..Randy wanted him, his brother and his father to go in together.

The people who so badly wanna believe this are real life creepy... it's basically fan fiction that got blown up to the point of people believing it, and the people who believe will swear up and down that it was proven or that they have some 'legit' reason for why they think it's true. The people who want this to be true are almost creepier than it actually happening.
