the chip is smaller...
the hard drive is usually smaller as well.
The air is for an aesthetic for a model who think a macbook pro is heavy cause she eats semen and coke for her diet.
you want a workhorse? get a macbook pro fully speced out so you can work and not look like you are working.

It really depends on what your process is.

I used to travel with an Air running on 8GB's of RAM using the MPC software and the MPC Studio, when I was on the road, for a good 4-5 years. Never had any issues with pre and post-production work, exporting tracks, basic production, etc. If you don’t need to do any heavy lifting or vocal recording, and you want something that could handle everyday production without a ton of plug-ins being brought in, a MacBook Air is perfectly fine.

My niece can get me this for 1150

Honestly I have a MacBook Pro from 2012 that I put 16 gb of ram in it and 500 gb hard drive but my screen is cracked ….. I really don’t need this new shyt
