Following the death of Mac Miller on Sept. 7, seven of the hip-hop artist’s albums could be on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Sept. 22), according to industry forecasters.
Miller’s most recent release, Swimming, may vault into the top five with perhaps a 500 percent unit gain in the week ending Sept. 13, rising to 55,000 equivalent album units earned.
On the current chart, dated Sept. 15, Swimming ranks at No. 71, having earned 9,000 units in the week ending Sept. 6, according to Nielsen Music. The album debuted at No. 3 just five weeks ago (chart dated Aug. 18), marking Miller’s fifth top 10 effort.
