Finish most of his music while working today..
That Faces mixtape was fuego but breh was really on some ready to die shyt..
Now I wondering the amount of demons this man had that contributed to this..
You never know what somebody has gone through..
Or
What demons people deal with from day to day..

Listening to Macadelic makes me appreciate Faces even more. Mac was in a zone during Faces.

Also, Mac did drop a cool beat tape and a Jazz-type EP

Dude left behind a really solid catalog, he could have easily went pop but he always kept it experimental and hip-hop. He was actually a self taught musician. His relationships in the industry speak for themselves he was widely respected among rappers and producers from all lanes. He was literally hip-hop's favorite white boy no 50. I don't know how many tragic overdoses it's going to take for dudes to realize that you can't cope through drugs.

R.I.P. to him that video with French telling him to chill is :wow:

I wasn't a fan but everything I heard from him was cool. I remember when I was in high school he and Asher Roth were the white boy rappers on the come up in that blog era. I fukked with this track...

Just getting around to actually listening to SWIMMING and am absolutely haunted and saddened by seeing the last track's title.

Kurt Vonnegut (my favorite author) uses and coined that phrase "So it goes.." after any character in his books dies. Mac didn't make that the last song of his last album coincidentally :mjcry:

He planned on taking himself out in an orchestrated fashion

RIP to Mac & Kurt

Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.

I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, “If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is.”

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country.

Here we are, trapped in the amber of the moment. There is no why.

A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved.

Those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand

Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward.

Thing that shook me up about this kid's death is how much of him I saw in myself and vice versa. Dealing with my own issues and hearing about how he went out, only to find out that we had the same literary influences is making this a lot tougher.

Yeah sadly Mac seemed ready to die. A lot of us have been there or are currently going thru it

That's shyt's wild but actually makes me feel more at peace with his passing. He probably knew he would never find happiness in this world. He accepted that his life journey was complete and was ready to move on. Energy is never destroyed only recycled. So I've come to the realization that this human experience is probably only one chapter of our existence. Our energy will infinitely take on new forms and shapes. Death is just a new beginning. I'm not even a religious person at all....this is just my own personal belief. I used to be a very angry person. Hateful. I still have to battle myself everyday to remain positive. But I've grown a lot. The fact that mac had all those demons and still always spread love to everybody around him speaks volumes to how strong he was as a person. It's easy to be hateful....it's easy to be an a$$hole. It's not easy to be filled with pain and still spread positivity in this world. So I try to only use my energy for positive now. But I still won't hesitate to crack somebody in the jaw if they try to disrupt that. Always love yourself before anything. Even before family and friends. Cause if you don't love yourself it's not possible to truly love anybody else. Loving yourself should always be the top priority.

I honestly saw Mac doing music into his old age. Not on some culture culture, use hiphop to launch me shyt, but on some musician shyt and just constantly seeking more in his craft

Aside from Devine Feminine there isn't much Mac in my playlist but I've heard a lot of his stuff. I'm gonna take some time before I even hit Swimming, but I was always looking forward to what he would do next

Thanks for stopping by, Mac :salute:
