In reality...because of the way boxing has been structured in the past 30 years, there's only a small handful of post-70's boxers that have fought every viable contender, champ and "elite" boxer in or around their weight class(es). Every top level fighter has missed fights for a variety of reasons...from managerial/promotional/scheduling conflicts to network politics to a host of other reasons. The alphabet soup orgs have played a huge part in alot of top level fighters not facing eachother as well...but i don't think it's fair to class every missed fight as a "duck" without 1st examining the particulars of why some of these fights didn't take place. Straight up, blatant, outright ducks are actually rare.

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
P-Will beat Margarito in July 07, and Floyd was already signed on to fight Hatton that December, and Williams went on to lose in that February. He retired for 2 years after the Hatton fight. Which means even if he didn't retire, Williams would have went on to lose which would have canned the fight anyone.

imo, Margarito and Sergio should be on his resume more than anyone. Not P-Dub. To each his own though.

He beat De La Hoya, then announced his retirement before Marg and Paul even fought...

Paul beats Margarito and Floyd comes out of retirement to fight Hatton, then goes right back into retirement ducking Paul Williams(and Cotto and Shane)...

Yes Williams lost a close fight to Quintana after Floyd retired again, but then he redeemed the lost with a 1 round KO victory and snatched his belt back... Floyd ass stayed retired :manny: It was a duck breh

You're right about Sergio as well

lmao he fought De La Hoya and Hatton the same year

so when he was suppose to fight Margarito, before de la hoya fight they said he was ducking baldimir

when exactly was he suppose to fight paul williams, nobody was even calling for that fight they said he was ducking hatton

He should've fought the winner of Marg/Pwilliams or Cotto after the De La Hoya fight..

nikkas wanted Floyd/Hatton years before, 04-05 when he was still 140.. After the De La Hoya win we wanted him vs the winner of Paul/Marg, Cotto, or Mosley.. Floyd opted to retire.. come out of retirement. fight Hatton and retire.. Again :snoop:. That shyt killed me

Hatton was the biggest fight to be made at the time, he ended up fighting cotto anyway how your saying makes it sense,
floyd tried to fight hatton back then and they said they weren't ready, the same with cotto, this shyt yall talk about is dumb

why would he fight paul or marg instead of hatton

floyd retired because he wanted to, it obvious was a good strategy because he's still fresh

you obviously don't know what ducking is

paul williams was aleady moved up when floyd came out of retirement, he would have possible got a shot at 154, but he was gonna lose to canelo anyway so he wouldn't have got the fight anyway, lara got robbed against him

No shyt he finally fought Cotto AFTER he got brutalized by Marg and Pac.... Why not fight him after Cotto beat Mosley instead of retiring for two years when Cotto had a strap and was calling him out??

Why not fight PWill after his win against Marg??

He decided to retire again...

Could've fought hatton at any point in time, but chose to fight him after his two struggle wins at welterweight

Floyd retiring was a great strategy... helped preserve that zero

LMAO @ Pwill losing to Canelo.:mjlol: okay breh... what does that have to do with Floyd retiring multiple times instead of fighting him before or after Hatton, when he beat Marg...

Floyd passed on too many opportunities to become undisputed in the division

When Floyd calls out Mosley Cotto and hatton to fight, they no and it's all good
Later on, when they want the fight with him, if he don't agree to it right away it's a duck:mjlol:
U guys need. To redefine the word "duck"
Duck means avoiding a fight cause u think u gonna lose
Paul Williams and especially cheato have no chance against Floyd and for u to think he retired because of them is:russ:

Floyd passed pn too many opportunities to become undisputed in the division

How would he fight williams right after he beat Margarito when he had just fought De La Hoya two months prior and he fought Hatton the same year 4 months after Williams beat Margarito

Floyd fought twice in 2007 Williams fough once, Floyd had bigger thanks on the table TWO MEGAFIGHTS nobody gave a shyt about margarito or paul williams

Miguel Cotto beat Shane in 2007, Floyd had bigger fish to fry to De La Hoya and Hatton, plus Cotto already fought twice that year, so when exactly was Floyd suppose to fight this guy, in 2008 he lost to margarito lol, shane beat margarito the next year and got the fight

how did he pass on unifying the division when's giving up belts its obviously never a goal and in this day in age is a meaningless objective which is why they reinstated the ring title has the lineal championship,

the crowd though De Lay hoya won because they announced " and the new champion" lol that's how undisputed Floyd people assume he's champion its understood he's the guy to beat

so when exactly was Floyd suppose to fight Williams, he had lost in 2008 and moved up to jr middleweight in the same year, paul williams was never a priority, if he would have not had an accident and eat Canelo for the WBC belt, then you would have a point if Floyd didn't defend is WBA belt against him

but that didn't happen

in your imaginery universe

Floyd was suppose to say fukk De Le Hoya the biggest pay day of my life fukk Ricky Hatton another mega fight

let me take on Cotto, Margarito, and Paul Wlliams all in the same year, even though they were all scheduled for fights the later against each other

do you see how ridiculous you sound

there's no period in time those fights were lined up so how could floyd possible duck anyone when they all had their own business to attend to
