The Royals shyt is a real stretch, unless of course you just think all hip hop and black people are endorsers of hyper materialism, and that no black people push back against it. Plenty of rappers have spoken out against the overly materialistic culture in hip hop. I never liked the shyt since Puffy came out with the shiny suits and all that. Jeru, De La, Mos and a host of others spoke out against it. And reading the lyrics, she's talking about how she came from a poor town and can't live like what's being promoted in pop culture. There's pleeeenty of real racism to fight without drawing conclusions from specious "evidence".
