man, no he's not. and theres nothing wrong w/ that. good music is good music. he has some great freestyles and i really like some of meeks full releases. but hes is not top tier this generation. not mainstream or otherwise. i still think rocky makes way better music overall.

Rocky aint a great writer either but he's said more memorable, poetic shyt. e.g. Demons. Suddenly. Brand New Guy.

A$AP got some classics to me

Bass is a top 5 Rocky record, easily. One of his best ever beats, best ever flows and rhymes. I thought Rocky was whatever until "Bass" came out.

Dreamchasers 2 is lowkey a top 10 mixtape of the decade , I wish Meek wasn't a pompous , egotistic , emotional wreck on the personalty tip .. he's truly one of the only mainstream rappers this generation I can relate to when he dwells on the struggles of growing up in poverty ..

I think Meeks scared to go all in with these type joints. Or Tony story joints for a whole album. He should feed us that one time. His flow is potent. Really that's his only knock for real his subject matter be stale but that most rappers.
