This album definitely proves that Lupe hasnt lost a step AT ALL. In fact lyrically it could go toe for toe with The Cool(I wont say its better but a case can be made for both sides). As far as all time, I havent heard every rap album or even some of the more notable ones in history(still havent heard illmatic, yeah i know) so I wont say all that. All I can say is he shut everyone up with this one. Lupe is def top 3 lyricists in the game right now imo tho.

If someone tells you to check out an album and tells you 'its the best album of all time' with a straight face you are going to listen to the album with a fine tooth comb because it's quite a claim. Seems like a natural response to me. If I told you to listen to 'Music To Driveby' because its the westcoast greatest gangsta rap album ever you are going to compare it to other gangsta rap albums like Chronic, Doggystyle, AEOM instead of just letting it stand alone as a cool album.

Taking someones opinion with a grain of salt is still taking it into consideration which is exactly what I am saying. I didn't say it influenced the entire experience for me. It does make a person nit pick the album though.

And yes I've heard it. Everyone got the link today just the same as you. I am not talking bad about the album. I also don't think it's a 'classic' album or greatest ever or AOTY or anything. I am pointing out that giving it extremely high expectations in MULTIPLE threads like this is over hyping the project. This is the second thread with over the top bs.
