I dont get it -- what was the juug on the looped chorus videos? -- how did that count as more views? cuz I would assume it would be still just count however many "views" each video gets, not how many times the chorus is played in that video. how did videos like these scam the game?
The chorus loop tricks the metrics readers into thinking that song is playing over and over again which tricks the other metrics into telling you it's a hot song i.e. YouTube recommendations, streaming service playlist etc. It's a cycle of Jedi mind tricks to fake popularity.
My homeboy is a DJ, he told me about 15-30 million views is when a song becomes playable in our city for the average club goer to be familiar with it. Then he told me to watch what happens when he plays Rockstar which was at 50 million views at the time. The dance floor died and no one knew what the song was. Fast forward to today and the song is everywhere because metrics manipulation told everywhere people get their music from that the song is bigger than it really is.
