I'm liking the short season format. It works perfectly for a show like this.
There is no filler at all. It's not like BE with everyone bytching about all the Margaret screen time. Everything is essential to the plot.

It's not written to be overly complex and it works

No doubt Idris can hold a Hollywood blockbuster thriller role.

Like a Denzel role instead of a Jamie Foxx role.

Only problem with the show is Luther be on that white girl movement

2nd ep was back on track. Great ep. Not that the first ep was wack or anything but it's kinda hard to gauge the pacing of this series because sometimes they go individual eps, sometimes an arc will go 2 eps, etc.

So far George Stark has been completely useless as an antagonist. Sleeps in his office like after drinking all night, then gets debo'ed out of all his evidence. I dunno where they're going with this but they need to make him more formidable, so we're actually worried about Luther. Before Alice and Luther had a mutual respect I was actually over what she might do. This Stark character it's mostly

at DSI Ripley not flipping but at him arresting Barnaby. Luther kept telling him "go arrest him then" all ep because it's like "you're judging me for not playing by the rules, walk in my shoes a second". It's not so easy.

I like that they subverted the horror trope and had the black chick be the one to save the white girls. I knew Luther was with her though because she got the phone call then went into the house anyway. Plus nobody walks up stairs loud as fukk like that. Even the killer was "that bytch must be fat".


Alice will be back, they showed her in the trailer for this season.
