British shows gotta start doing 20+ episodes

I'd settle for 12-13 for each seasons. When shows go on for 20+ there are annoying fillers and dips in quality. I can only count on one hand of shows that stayed consistent in piff for 20-23 episodes straight.

:dwillhuh:..you didnt finish it???!...the whole point of the show is to build up to a ridiculous finale...the last two episodes of the first season and the last episode of the second season is some of the best scripted tv ive ever seen...the show is greatness...

Idris is an A-list actor right?

That makes me somewhat OK with the extra short seasons....I think it would be cool if some our A-listers did short TV series mostly cuz they want to. Like imagine Will Smith or Brad Pitt or Gosling giving us an abbreviated series...

10-12 episodes is the sweet spot IMO

Shows with 20+ episode seasons usually have hella filler and a bunch of dumb/unrealistic shyt happening just to stretch the story out

I don't have a problem at all with these 4-6 episode seasons

Quality>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Quantity

That's cool but then there's that issue of top billing. Some of these A-list actors get all mean with how much they should get paid to stay on board with a project. :why:

If I were an A-list actor and was given a main spot, I'd sacrifice a chunk of my pay to make sure the show goes on and prevent budget issues. Kind of like how Bruce Willis did 12 Monkeys for free and got his pay after the movie made it's revenue.

Acting is their livelihood, so I kinda get where they're coming from :manny:

That's why I think it has to be a project they just want to do...so money isn't their biggest motivator. Even with Luther, isn't Idris an executive producer? American A-listers already do this with movies (like they'll do lower budget indie films for below their regular rate simply cuz they like the plot so much...or they're chasing awards).
