What's the difference between these two

And this

Rihanna and Beyonce are the standard when we let Whites depict us. Lupita is a different representation of Black beauty but you BW should question the sudden shift in White depiction in Black beauty, will it last and why it had to come to this point? Instead, you exalt Cacs for doing this :scust:

I'm thinking with optimism that maybe someone is trying to finally break that tired old "standard of beauty" in mainstream media and show that black women are diverse. But if there is an agenda, then what is it?

Black Women :wow:

Ignorant of history :wow:

Optimistic and basically allowing Cacs to control their identity and exalt them for it :wow:

Idk if her playing a slave has anything to do with the the sudden shift in White perception of Black beauty or if it is to generate sales, but they shouldn't dictate and BW damn sure shouldn't be happy over what White outlets choose to promote :wow:

Yall whitewashed c00ns can't appreciate a cute dark skinned women getting props. Lupita got bubbly personality, great #midnightboyz skin, beautiful smile and pretty face. Yet, your losers aint happy with her but if this was Nicki Minaj yall jacked off to the cover page. :camby:My nikka we made it.

This. The c00ning going on in the coli is appaling. Let this dime Lupita eat.

I get happy when any black person breaks the mold in mainstream media :yeshrug:and if the white standard of beauty is damaging young black girls self esteem then maybe seeing Lupita would promote more natural hair growth in the black community. And If I was listening to what white people thought was beautiful for myself, I'd have bleached skin, blue contacts, and a 12" blonde weave in my head.

Maybe this could be the catalyst for women to realize that natural is beautiful. Heard a lot of brides are ditching make-up and shyt lately. I'm down for that wave (if it could happen). :ehh:

I think Lupita is polarizing because it seems like WMs opinions of BW matter more than BM. I doubt Lupita would be celebrated by BW if BM propped her up :manny:

'Precious' star Gabourey Sidibe lands spot on People Magazine's 2010 Most Beautiful People list - National Urban Pop Culture | Examiner.com

End this fukken thread now, nikkas take shyt way too seriously.

White folk are trolling with this one. So THIS is the fukking reason they put Lupita at the top spot. To counterbalance negative fallout for having this cow sidibe on the list at all! How in the hell is this woman beautiful? I mean, her spirit may be beautiful, but her features are hideous as fukk sorry. I mean if she made the list, why not put honey boo boo on the list as well?

White liberal racism is as insidious as it is evil. :smh:
